Victim of February stabbing in Borth has passed away, police confirm

THE VICTIM of an alleged attempted murder of a pensioner who was walking his dog near Borth Wildlife Kingdom in west Wales has sadly passed away, the police have confirmed.

The incident took place earlier this year, and a man has been charged with attempted murder and has been remanded into custody.

A spokesman for the police told The Herald in a statement: “Dyfed-Powys Police can sadly confirm the death of Lewis Stone, following an incident in Borth on February 28, 2019.

“Mr Stone, aged 71, was walking his dog near the Borth Wildlife Kingdom when he was stabbed. He passed away this week. Our thoughts are with his family at this tragic time.

“David Kenneth Fleet, of Borth, is charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon, namely a knife.

“A police investigation continues in respect of this incident.”
