POLICE in Haverfordwest have sealed off the wooden footbridge and path leading into the Flemming Crescent Woodland.
Officers have been at the scene following an incident which took place in the early hours of Sunday morning (May 26).
One resident told The Herald that the area had been sealed off since 3am.
At lunchtime scenes of crime officers joined regular police at the popular nature trail just opposite the flats on Flemming Crescent.
Some residents have posted photographs of the police activity on social media.
At this stage the details of the incident have not yet been released by police.

UPDATE – 29.05.2019
The police today confirmed: “We received a report of an incident having occurred in Fleming Crescent, Haverfordwest in the early hours of Sunday, 26th May. The report was later withdrawn.”
When pressed to explanation the nature of the allegation the police said that they were not willing to release that information.
