It has been funded through the Welsh Government’s Town Centre Partnership, a scheme which aims to boost town centres across Wales by increasing footfall and supporting businesses.

There will be plenty to see and do across Carmarthen, including vintage cars, vintage hair and make-up demos, vintage wedding suppliers and live music.

There will also be exclusive fashion shows from 11am on Nott’s Square by the castle.

Splash will be joining forces with Terry Smith a vintage collector, Dandy Lion, Hotter and Giddy Aunt to create some stylish looks for the catwalk.

Helen Beck, from Wonderful Weddings, who is co-ordinating the Fashion Shows, said: “We are so excited to be working with Carmarthen Town Centre Regeneration Forum on their Vintage Festival.

“We are a small business based in Carmarthen and feel lucky to be able to work with local businesses and the community to bring the town something really different.”

New to this year’s festival is a vintage wedding fayre which will be held between 11-3pm. There will be a number of competitions throughout the day including a £100 give away towards a wedding, with on-the-day discounts, free hair and make-up demos and free copies of Your Wedding Day magazine, plus a live catwalk featuring Miss Wales.

Demonstrations will be laid on by Bethany hair salon and make up artists Leah James and Laura Jayne.

Carmarthen’s clothes and shoe shops will display elegant vintage and vintage inspired fashions, encouraging visitors to take a trip down memory lane.
