A LLANELLI window cleaner twice sexually assaulted a customer before she physically threw him out of her home.

Gary Metcalfe, aged 36, grabbed her breasts and then licked her lower back after pulling down her clothing.

Metcalfe, then of Swansea Road, Llanelli, admitted two offences of sexual assault.

Carina Hughes, prosecuting, told Swansea Crown Court that Metcalfe had agreed to clean her windows in return for alcohol.

He made a number of suggestive remarks before leaving after receiving a telephone call.

But he returned later and the woman made the mistake of allowing him back in.

Miss Hughes said Metcalfe again made sexual remarks and touched her on her arm before moving to her breasts.

He then pulled down her clothing and licked her before being told to get out.

Metcalfe refused but she managed to push him out.

After his arrest Metcalfe denied doing anything sexual and challenged the police to find any traces of his DNA on her back–which was precisely what they did.

On being told of the forensic results Metcalfe continued to deny what had happened and said his DNA must have got onto he back while she was pushing him out.

But he eventually entered pleas of guilty.

His barrister, Craig Jones, said he now appreciated that he had behaved “completely inappropriately.”

Mr Jones said Metcalfe had suffered a second shock. He had come across a “disgusting” website on the internet and had been so upset he had taken his mobile telephone to police in the hope of getting it shut down–only to be arrested and his mobile confiscated.

Mr Jones said he understood that matter was still under investigation, but if any charges were brought they would be contested.

The judge, Mr Recorder P.A. Hopkins, said Metcalfe had behaved in a reprehensible way and then persistently lied to police.

“You violated her in her own home,” he added.

Metcalfe was made the subject of a three year community order and ordered to attend sexual offenders group sessions and alcohol counselling sessions.

He was also ordered to register with the police as a sex offender for the next fives and to pay a £60 government surcharge.

Mr Recorder Hopkins also issued a restraining order banning Metcalfe from contacting the woman until further order.
