DYFED-POWYS POLICE is investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the B4302 near New Inn, Llandeilo, at around 6pm yesterday (Jan 29).
It appears a woman has been hit by a car while walking along the road between Llandeilo and Talley.
The driver reported the collision to police but sadly the woman died.
The car, a green Volkswagen Transporter, was travelling from Rhosmaen towards Talley.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Anyone who saw this car or a woman walking on roads around the Llandeilo area is urged to call Carmarthenshire RPU on 101, quoting reference DP-20180129-279.
