Woman freed from car after collision

​FIRE CREWS had to help a woman out of her car following a collision near Burry Port on Sunday afternoon (Apr 29).
Emergency services were called to Cwm Ivor Road shortly after 12.30pm.

The collision involved a red Mini and a delivery van.

The road was blocked while the woman was helped from her car by fire crews from Llanelli and Kidwelly. She was treated by paramedics at the scene, but fortunately did not require hospital treatment.

A spokesperson for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: ​”​We were called to a two-vehicle road collision at 12.39pm this afternoon in Burry Port.

“Fire appliances from Kidwelly and Llanelli attended and crews used small gear and a triple extension ladder at the scene.

“One female was assisted from her vehicle by fire service personnel.”
