Woman trapped in car rescued by fire service

fireA WOMAN had to be rescued from her car after it collided with a wall on Cwmamman Road in Glanaman just after 11pm last night (Sep 9).

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a car on its side and two fire crews, from Pontardawe and Ammanford, attended the scene.

The ambulance service also attended the incident.

The woman, who was trapped in the car, had to be freed using an hydraulic cutter and stabilising equipment.

Only one vehicle was involved in the incident and the condition of the woman is not known at this time.
