THE MET OFFICE has warned of strong winds and heavy rain across South Wales as they have issued a yellow weather warning between 6pm today (Mar 5) and 9am tomorrow.
The warning describes rain, heavy at times, as well as strong winds giving some difficult driving conditions. 20-30 mm of rain is likely to fall quite widely whilst over the higher ground of South Wales and southwest England, 40-50 mm is expected, with most exposed sites perhaps seeing 60 mm. Strong winds are also expected perhaps enhancing impacts in places.
The warning says to expect: flooding of a few homes and businesses; spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer; bus and train services probably affecting journey times and some interruption to power supplies and other services.
