Yellow weather warning issued for Carmarthenshire

shutterstock_261366548THE MET OFFICE is warning that heavy rain could continue across Carmarthenshire today (Sept 26). The heavy downfall is predicted to last until 10pm.

Forecasters predict that between 20mm and 40mm of rain could fall throughout the day, which may cause travel disruption due to large quantities of surface water on the roads, or even flooding in the most severe cases.

The level of the weather warning is currently set to yellow, which according to the Met Office means: “Be aware. Severe weather is possible over the next few days and could affect you. Yellow means that you should plan ahead thinking about possible travel delays, or the disruption of your day to day activities.”

Should any flooding or disruption occur, The Herald will report on it throughout the day.
