Cheshire man’s remains discovered a decade after his disappearance in Wales

The remains of a Cheshire man, who had been missing for over a decade, were discovered in woodland in Wales.

Anthony Lewis, aged 64 and hailing from Ellesmere Port, was reported missing on July 5, 2012, and his vehicle was located in Snowdonia a week later.

On September 25, a member of the public found human remains in woodland near the village of Dolgarrog.

During the initial inquest, it was noted that the provisional cause of death was asphyxia resulting from the inhalation of helium.

Kate Robertson, the assistant coroner for North Wales East and Central, adjourned the inquest to a later date yet to be determined.
