Three men charged with burglary after police gave chase for 60 miles

IN connection with an upsurge in burglaries in North Wales, three men have been charged. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

Following a 60-mile-long cross-border police chase on Monday, the trio was apprehended. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

After witnesses reported spotting a suspect car in the vicinity of the burglaries, North Wales Police Roads Policing Unit officers tracked it down on the A55 eastbound at Rhuallt throughout the evening. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

After evading a police stinger near Deeside, the vehicle headed towards Cheshire before traveling on the wrong side of the road on the M56, the M6, and onto the A556. This ended the pursuit. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

The vehicle was eventually stopped on the M6 in Knutsford by officers from North Wales Police and Cheshire Police with help from the National Police Air Service after the three people inside the vehicle made an effort to leave. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

They were swiftly apprehended, and three males in total were jailed on suspicion of breaking and entering and traffic infractions. ‌

North Wales Police said: “Numerous items reported stolen from burglaries reported in the central force area were recovered. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

“The three men were later charged with various offences and remanded in custody whilst the investigation continues.” ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌
