DYFED POWYS POLICE says it is investigating after a girl was allegedly stabbed in an incident that took place in the Coelbren area of Neath, shortly after 7pm on Thursday, 16 November.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries where she remains in a stable condition.
A 14-year-old girl has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article. She has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Merthyr Magistrates Court on Monday, 20th November 2023.
