A man has been hospitalized with serious injuries following an assault that occurred outside a Tesco store in St Mellons, Cardiff.
South Wales Police responded to a report of an injured man near the Tesco roundabout shortly after midnight on Monday, October 9.
According to the police, CCTV footage has verified that the 44-year-old man, hailing from Trowbridge, was indeed assaulted outside the supermarket. He was subsequently transported to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff due to the severity of his injuries.
Authorities have stated that the incident is thought to be connected to another assault that took place on a 37-year-old man in Ferntree Drive, Trowbridge, in the early hours of the same morning.
Detectives are actively investigating both incidents, and their inquiries are still in progress.
