Plans for Llandarcy drive-through coffee shop submitted to council

Neath Port Talbot Council

PLANS for a new drive-through coffee shop near the village of Llandarcy have been submitted to Neath Port Talbot Council.

While it is not named in the application submitted to the local planning authority, documents suggests the site could be opened by popular coffee chain Starbucks.

If approved by council bosses, the development would comprise of a one-storey drive-through coffee shop, along with an EV charging station, landscaping and signs. Plans also show a total of 25 car parking spaces would be provided adjacent to the drive-through coffee shop, which includes two accessible spaces for the use of disabled people and 16 EV charging spaces.

The application site is located around 300m south-west of junction 43 of the M4, with an eastern boundary along the B4290, and its western boundary along an unnamed road that links Llandarcy village to the B4290.

It comes just months after the announcement of plans for an Aldi and Starbucks Coffee shop on land at Burrows Yard in Aberavon, with plans for both sites potentially going before the council’s planning authority in the coming months.
