Eyewitnesses and social media users have shared pictures capturing the scene, revealing the magnitude of the incident.
The Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that their crews were yet to arrive at the scene, but they had received a report of smoke in the Maritime Quarter.
While they were unable to provide further details at this time, it is clear that efforts are underway to address the situation.
Social media platforms have been inundated with pictures and videos showing plumes of smoke rising into the air.
A witness at the scene, reported that the smoke seems to have been brought under control.
