Emergency services attend road traffic collision involving pedestrian

EMERGENCY services were called to an incident on Saturday, May 13 at approximately 6.30pm. 

Dyfed-Powys Police arrived on the scene of the incident on Steynton Road, Milford Haven following reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. 

Wales Air Ambulance confirmed their attendance. There have been reports that their helicopters landed at Milford Haven Football Club on Marble Hall Road.

A spokesperson said: “Critical Care Teams from both Dafen and Cardiff bases attended by air, arriving on scene at 19:15. Our involvement concluded at 21:43.”

One person has been taken to Cardiff for further treatment. 

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called on 13 May, shortly before 6:30pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and vehicle on Steynton Road, Milford Haven. 

“We sent one emergency ambulance to the scene, where we were supported by the Wales Air Ambulance. One person was taken by air to University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff for further treatment.”

A spokesperson from Dyfed-Powys Police said:

“Police attended a road traffic collision which occurred on Steynton Road, Milford Haven at about 6.30pm on Saturday, 13th May 2023.

“The collision involved a vehicle and a young pedestrian.

“The pedestrian was taken to hospital where they remain in a stable condition.

“The road was closed and reopened at about 8.30pm.”

Dyfed-Powys Police added they are “appealing for witnesses in relation to an RTC near Phillips Avenue, Milford Haven, that occurred at approx. 18.30hrs yesterday.

“Could anyone who may have witnessed the incident please make contact via 101, quoting message DP-20230513-436.”
