TENBY United will play Pembroke in the final of the Pembrokeshire Plate after they beat Whitland on Friday night (Mar 17) at Heywood Lane.
Pembroke were given a walkover from their semi-final against Llangwm a few days previous.
It was a competitive match between League 1 Whitland and League 2 Tenby but it was the Seasiders who went ahead first.
They were unable to score a try but Lloyd Thomas scored four penalties to open up a 12-0 lead for the home side.
Tenby then scored the only try of the game through Jack Broadhurst. Whitland cleared the ball upfield after a scrum but back came the Seasiders and Broadhurst barged his way past a couple of defenders before touching down.

Thomas then added the extras to make it 19-0 to the home side. Whitland managed a late penalty courtesy of Geraint Jones but it wasn’t enough to spark a comeback as Tenby had done enough to seal their place in the final.
A date for the final is still to be arranged.
