Johnston up to fourth in Division 2

JOHNSTON moved up to fourth place in Division 2 on Thursday night (Mar 31) as they beat Herbrandston 3-1.

Scott Crawford scored after ten minutes and he doubled his side’s lead ten minutes before the break with a well-taken goal.

Herbie’s hopes of getting back into the game in the second half were all but ended as Thomas Richards scored on the hour mark to make it 3-0.

Sam Houston did pull a goal back for Herbie with twenty minutes to go but it proved to be a consolation effort.

Johnston have one league game left to play this season, on Saturday, April 2, as they host Merlins Bridge seconds.

Herbie are in action in the quarter final of the Second Division Cup on Saturday (Apr 2) as they St Clears.

Thursday’s other result in Division 2 saw Hakin United second beat Broad Haven 2-0 thanks to goals from Gareth and Jonathan Fawcett.
