LAUGHARNE earned their second win in the Division 3 Cup on Saturday (Oct 29) as they beat Cwmafan 22-15.
They had beaten Neyland by a similar scoreline in their previous game but they came up against a Cwmafan side that sat top of the Group after winning their opening two games.
Laugharned went ahead with a penalty from Nico Setaro but Cwmafan responded with a penalty of their own from Sam Jardine to level.
An unconverted try gave Laugharne an 8-3 lead at half time but Cwmafan were not out of the game.
The visitors went ahead in the second half with a try that was converted by Jardine.

Laugharne then went back ahead with a converted try and then scored again to take the score to 22-10.
Cwmafan hit back with an unconverted try but it wasn’t enough to spark a comeback. The visitors tries were scored by Corey Taylor and Brandon Jones.
Try scorers for Laugharne were Tomos Davies and Nico Setaro while their third came courtesy of a penalty try. Nico Setaro added the rest of the points from boot.
Laugharne’s third game of the group, against Cefneithin, is yet to be rescheduled but a win in that game could see them top the group.
Sides now take a break from rugby action as the autumn internationals take place.
