CRESSELLY got their season off to a winning start on Sunday (Apr 24) as they beat Llangwm 216 runs.
Simon Cole and Nicky Cope both scored centuries for the home side as they posted a mammoth total of 337-3 after winning the toss and electing to bat.
They lost Matthew Morgan early on when he was caught by Will Beresford off the bowling of Steven Mills.
Phil Williams made a score of 33 but he was caught by Steven Inward off the bowling of Matthew Kiff.
Cole and Cope then took control as they shared 185 runs for the third wicket.
Cole hit seventeen fours and a six in his knock of 128 but he was then bowled by Noah Davies.
Cope smashed eight fours and ten sixes as he finished unbeaten on 135. He was joined by Alex Bayley whose late score of 21 included two fours and a six.
That set Llangwm 338 to win but they soon found themselves in trouble as openers Beresford and Steven Inward were both caught by Simon Cole off the bowling of Dan James.
James also bowled Noah Davies on a score of 14 and Steve Mills added 12 before being bowled by Tom Arthur.
Joe Kiff and David Lewis both fell to the bowling of Tom Murphy who later had Toby Asson caught by Neilson Cole and caught and bowled Daniel Morgan.
Matthew Kiff offered some resistance with six fours in a score of 27 but he fell to the bowling of Ryan Lewis.
It left Oliver Davies not out on 14 but Llangwm had been bowled out for 121.
On Sunday, May 1, Cresselly travel to Lawrenny while Llangwm go to Haverfordwest.
