Ceredigion recognised with Regional Awards

Ceredigion won three awards at a recent Awards ceremony.

The West Wales Regional Partnership Board Awards 2022 was held in the Halliwell in Carmarthen on 06 December. The awards were an opportunity to recognise, celebrate and share notable work in Health and Social Care in the West Wales region.

Nominations were invited from all who are part of the health and social care sector in the west Wales region, including teams, groups or organisations in the public, private, voluntary or co-operative sectors.

Lucy Barratt, Employee Health and Wellbeing Officer won the ‘Supporting and investing in the wellbeing of the health and social care workforce – a team or initiative that has significantly impacted wellbeing’ award. Lucy was presented with her Award by Carmarthenshire Councillor Jane Tremlett.

The Integrated Targeted Care and Enablement Team won the ‘Integrated Care’ award. Dawn James, Team Manager and Liz Davies, one of the Team Leaders were presented with their award by Rhian Matthews.

In achieving transformation through innovation award, Camu ’Mlaen were highly commended. Camu ‘Mlaen was a partnership project between Ceredigion County Council, Coleg Ceredigion, Hywel Dda University Health Board and Careers Wales.

The officers were Nerys Lewis, Corporate Manager Direct Services, Rebecca James Project Co-ordinator Additional Learning Needs Transformation and Emma Clark, Corporate Manager Extended Support.

Councillor Bryan Davies, Ceredigion County Council Leader and Cabinet Member for People and Organisation, said: “Congratulations to our staff in Ceredigion for their awards in the West Wales Regional Partnership Board Awards.

We are very grateful of the work our teams do in our county, where they go above and beyond for the people of Ceredigion. Thank you.”

Judith Hardisty, Hywel Dda UHB Vice Chair and host of the ceremony, stated: “This is our first Regional Partnership Board award and gives us an opportunity to thank staff for their incredible work and to celebrate their successes.

The Regional Partnership Board works on the basis of collaboration, innovation, integration and co-production. I am delighted that our awards recognise outstanding achievements in these areas as well as supporting our workforce.”

The 2022 West Wales Regional Partnership Board Awards gave those working in the health and social care sector the recognition and praise they deserve whilst recognising the excellent work that’s been happening across west Wales.
