The Antiques Fair and Vintage Market: Filmed during an episode of Bargain Hunt

LAST weekend, BBC Bargain Hunt filmed their show at the National Botanic Gardens Antiques and Vintage Market.

Crowds turned up to see their favourite show being filmed and one of the producers commented that the gardens was one of their best venues that they had filmed in and indicated that they would love to return again.

Experts Caroline Hawley and Richard Madly took their red and blue teams around the fair in search of three bargains, with £300 to spend and only an hour to do it in.

The two teams frantically scoured the fair both inside and outside for their bargains.

One of the red team could not put one of her purchases down, carrying the adorable blue vintage teddy around with her all morning.

Another two teams were filmed in the afternoon, when the sun finally came out, in the vintage market and in the larger marquee.

The bargains chosen at the Antiques and Vintage Market will now be sold under the hammer during an auction at the Peter Francis Auction House in Carmarthen at the end of April.

The new addition of the Vintage Market brought the number of stands up to 100 and spectacle of gardenrelated items and up-cycled furniture filling the Millennium Courtyard was much appreciated by the visitors.

The Fair was a huge success and visitors braved the elements to enjoy the wide variety of antiques on display.

You will be able to catch the Gardens on Bargain Hunt at some time between then end of June and the beginning of July.
