AN EXHIBITION of beautiful and intricate Ceredigion maps has just been unveiled at Cardigan Castle.

The incredible handcrafted maps are on a short-term loan from Ceredigion Museum, depicting the county in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, alongside astonishing engravings of Cardigan Castle. The exhibition was unveiled by County Councillor Lyndon Lloyd, who has previously campaigned for the museum, which is based in Aberystwyth, to share its exhibits with the rest of the county. Cllr Lloyd said: “It is excellent that the museum are sharing such an interesting exhibition with Cardigan Castle. “These maps tell the history of the county and it is wonderful that people in the Cardigan area will get a chance to study them.” The castle’s exhibition will continue to run in the silk room of the Castle Green House until July.
