A SQUAD of 8 junior golfers from Carmarthen Golf Club will represent Carmarthen and Wales in The Junior Team Golf Home Nations Championship at Antequera Golf Club, Andalucia in Spain on March 14.
The team qualified after finishing second in The Wales National Championship at Builth Wells last October. Carmarthen qualified for the finals at Builth Wells after winning the Dyfed order of merit for the second year running.
The team of James Bryan, Lowri Thomas, Sam Hitchcock, Edward Rocke, Jac Price, Keiran James, Scott Jones and Iestyn McAvoy attend Bro Myrddin and Q E High schools in Carmarthen and their ages range from 13 to 18. They have all been fine tuning their games with weekly coaching sessions from Director of Golf Darren Griffiths.
A lot of hard work has been undertaken over the past few months in order to get the team to Spain and they would like to thank everyone who has supported them.
