Countdown to three-day Festival of the Senses

THE countdown has begun for the free annual Festival of the Senses in Llandeilo between Friday, November 15 and Sunday, November 17.
The festival boasts a fabulous weekend of food, fun, entertainment and shopping opportunities – an event which signals the start of the build-up to Christmas in West Wales.
The festival, which has been running since 2008 and even won a Carmarthenshire Tourism Award in 2017, is the largest of its kind in Carmarthenshire. Last year, thousands upon thousands of visitors and locals alike, flocked to the lovely town of Llandeilo, to enjoy the gastronomical delights of local, and far-away produce.
Visitors can again dance to the music on the stage by performers such as Ffion Haf and Tomos Newman or Will Jones and Peri Lynn or get into the Christmas spirit with performances by Llandeilo Town Band. Visitors will be able to marvel at the amazing firework display whilst children, big and small, will have the chance to see Santa and start their Christmas shopping experience.
A free WiFi service courtesy of the festival will cover the main shopping areas along with a Festival App to keep everyone up to date with information including the entertainment schedule, special offers available around town and weather and travel updates.
A Park and Ride service will be available to give visitors easy access to the town centre from 2 locations to help ease congestion in the town. One park and ride service will start at Ysgol Bro Dinefwr with the other at The Hangout Car Park on Talley Road where visitors can wait in the warm and browse the art and craft and food stalls.
The annual festival encompasses the towns shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, as well as offering craft and fashion stalls, food stalls, buskers, entertainment and much, much more. Main stall areas for 2019 are Llandeilo Civic Hall, The Old Library, Horeb Chapel and King Street.
The festival will run from at 11am until 9.30pm on November 15, 10am until 6pm on November 16, and 10am until 4pm on November 17.
