IF YOU’RE a mum in need of finding somewhere to take your baby out for an hour, then book yourself in for the next lot of Tash’s Rubba-bubba Baby Massage!
Tash has loved professionally working with and caring for babies for as long as she can remember, from baby-sitting and child minding, to qualifying as a nursery nurse. In 2009, she qualified as a Children’s nurse (RCBN) in Swansea University.
In 2013 she founded Rubba-bubba baby massage as well as becoming a mum to a beautiful little girl. Tash teaches baby massage alongside (previously) nursing in a Special care baby unit in west Wales and currently works on the Children’s ward.
Rubba-bubba baby massage is a small, calm and friendly group of 8-12 parents and babies in an informal and fun environment. Ideally your baby should be from 6 weeks up to the stage of crawling, however it’s at your discretion when you and your bay are ready to join baby massage.
Tash will guide you through the easy-to-follow baby massage strokes, concentrating on a different body part each week. The sessions are run on a weekly basis to allow you plenty of time to practice the massage strokes in the privacy of your own home.
Don’t worry if your baby needs changing or feeding, the class is baby-led and his or her needs always come first. At these classess, you will massage a different body part each week and recap from the week before in case you can’t make it.
The class is a rolling course so you are welcome to book on to as many weeks and come as long as you would like. Each week you will massage for around 20-30 minutes then have tea, refreshments and a natter! After 5 weeks you will be able to do a full body massage on your baby and reap the benefits that follow.
Everything including organic baby massage oil is provided for class, and organic baby massage oil can be purchased in class for £4.00 per 100mls for home use.
Tash said: “Being part of so many stressful and traumatic times for both parents and baby, (whether baby needed SCBU or not) plus as a mum myself, I can really appreciate the precious time you have with your baby and the barriers you may face.
“Baby massage really overcomes a lot of those hurdles that exist in dayto- day life as a new mum. I love the fact baby massage is such a simple and relaxing skill but yet there’s so many benefits too.”
