Stagecoach pupils: During a performance.

RAY WILLIAMS OBE made a name for himself by revolutionising the way rugby football was played throughout the world. He went on to become secretary of the Welsh Rugby Union and was Tournament Director of the 1991 Rugby World Cup but still found time to support many charitable organisations.

Having retired to Haverfordwest in 2008, and following his death in December 2014, charitable donations which were made in his memory have been presented to his favourite charities. Pictured is Judith Griffiths, Ray’s daughter, presenting a cheque for £511.60 to John Daniels who is the secretary of Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru and a trustee of Prostate Cymru. With 2500 Welshmen being diagnosed with the disease each year, of which 550 die, Ray had a long association with Prostate Cymru and was Senior Ambassador for the main charity in Wales as well as being the founder chairman of Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru.
