Tesco employees participate in charity zip wire

Screen Shot 2016-08-17 at 09.46.08COLLEAGUES from Tesco in Cardigan participated in a ‘zip wire challenge’ recently, jumping 150ft from the roof of St Davids Hotel in Cardiff in aid of The Princes Gate Trust. 

The trust raise much needed funds and awareness for a variety of charity partners, including the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity.

Tesco Store Manager Joanna Balkwill and other colleagues from the store took part in the zip wire challenge and raised £903.17 for the cause, which was presented to the charity on Monday, July 18.

Tesco’s Community Champion Dave Thomas stated: “Tesco are proud to help support nationwide charitable causes as well as groups within our own community. Our next fundraising event will take place in August in store with Tesco De Rio as part of the Olympic games to help both The British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK.”
