Alicia knocks the opposition for six!

knocks the opposition for sixFISHGUARD Girls FC Under 12s played really well to win two and draw one of their six games in the latest segment of the Pembrokeshire Girls League held at STP on Sunday.

In their first two games the girls suffered narrow defeats against Kilgetty and Newcastle Emlyn B, before two goals from Alicia Taylor and one from Ffion Lovell secured a 3-0 win over Narberth in their third match.  The next match was a closely fought affair against Camrose, but two more goals from Alicia Taylor secured a 2-1 win. The final two games saw Alicia Taylor score two more goals, to take her tally for the day to six, in a 2-3 defeat against Newcastle Emlyn A, before Fishguard and Johnston battled out a 0-0 draw in the final game, with Courtney Haden having a superb game in goal.

Numbers are so high in the Under 12 section that Fishguard are likely to enter two teams in that age category from now on. Fishguard Girls Under 16s also battled to two wins and a draw in four games against Camrose and Johnston despite being depleted in numbers due to player unavailability.

All the Girls that attend Ysgol Bro Gwaun are training during their Sport Pembrokeshire 5×60 Girls Football sessions which take place on a Thursday lunchtime and after school.
