PONTARDDULAIS edged past Fishguard in a close encounter on Saturday (Jan 15) as they earned an 8-17 win at The Moor.
Fishguard were forced into a change before kick off as Full back Robbie Jones was injured in the warm up.
James Reynolds was brought in to replace him and he scored their try in the first half.
James Griffiths added a penalty for the home side but it was the Bont who led at the break.
The Bont took a 10-8 lead into the interval but the Seagulls were still very much in the game.
Bont’s second half try came with twenty minutes to go but the home side still had time to get themselves back in the game.
Try as they might though they were unable to score again as Bont held on for the win.
The sides are next in action on Saturday, January 29, when Bont host Tycroes while Fishguard travel to Mumbles.
