Carew earn nine-wicket win over Saundersfoot

CAREW earned their first win of the season on Sunday (May 1) as they beat Saundersfoot by nine wickets.

Carew won the toss and elected to field following rain earlier in the day and they were able to keep Saundersfoot to 112-7.

Sam Franklin top scored for Saundersfoot with 29 and Jack Frankin added 24 but that was as good as it got for the visitors.

Simon Wood took three wickets for the loss of 16 runs and Shaun Whitfield finished with figures of 2-27.

John Mansbridge took a wicket in reply for Saundersfoot but Wood and Rhys Davies guided Carew to their target.

Wood finished unbeaten on 44 and Davies finished unbeaten on 52 to earn Carew a 15-point win.

On Saturday, May 7, Carew travel to Cresselly while Saundersfoot host Neyland.
