Carew up to seventh after beating Narberth

CAREW moved up to seventh place in Division 1 on Saturday (Feb 19) as they beat Narberth 11-1.

It was the only game to be played in the division as other games were called off because of waterlogged pitches.

Jordan Richards scored the first goal after five minutes and he scored again just three minutes later to double Carew’s lead.

Shaun Whitfield then grabbed Carew’s third on fifteen minutes and ten minutes later it was 4-0 as Gareth Lewis set up Adam Muskett to score.

Muskett then grabbed his second on the stroke of half time to make it 5-0 but it could have been more had it not been for some good saves from Narberth keeper Rhys Mansell.

Twenty minutes into the second half Muskett completed his hat trick before Narberth pulled a goal back.

The league’s bottom side had not given up and they were rewarded on seventy minutes when Mehdi Jegham found the back of the net.

Sub Dylan Morgan then got his first goal of the game before Muskett grabbed his fourth.

Richards then completed his hat trick in the 78th minute and he added his fourth with three minutes to go.

Morgan then scored his second to make it 11-1 as Carew sealed a comfortable win.
