Clarby move back up to third with win over Neyland

CLARBESTON Road moved back up to third place in Division 1 on Saturday (Mar 26) as they beat Neyland 4-0.

Neyland played well in the first half but it was Clarby who got the first goal as Richard Bevan scored after half an hour.

Early in the second half, Clarby were awarded a penalty and Jake Booth converted to double the visitor’s advantage.

Jason Griffiths, playing against his former team, then made the points all but safe as he scored his side’s third goal of the afternoon.

With time running out Bevan rounded the Neyland keeper to make it 4-0 to the visitors.

Neyland battled well throughout but were unable to convert their chances into goals.

Neyland are next in action on Wednesday night (Mar 30) as they play Hakin United in the semi-final of the Senior Cup.

Clarbeston Road are next in action on Saturday, April 2, as they travel to Carew.
