Clarby prove too strong for Narberth

CLARBESTON Road returned to winning ways on Saturday (Mar 5) as they beat Narberth 17-0.

Ben John got the scoring underway in the first minute and three minutes later Steffan Williams made it 2-0 to the hosts.

Jake Booth scored Clarby’s third goal before Jason Griffiths scored a hat trick in the space of nine minutes to double their lead.

Joules Ward, Ben John, Greg Brown and Jake Booth all scored again before half time while John added his third on 42 minutes.

Steffan Williams scored early in the second half but on 60 minutes Clarby keeper Sam Edge was sent off.

That didn’t stop the home side though as Griffiths scored twice more before Booth completed his hat trick on 71 minutes.

Griffiths then scored his sixth goal of the game with twelve minutes to go.

Ben John scored the final goal of the game five minutes from time before Matthew Davies missed a late penalty for the home side.

The win for Clarby keeps them third in the table, seven points behind second placed Hakin United.

On Saturday, March 12, Clarbeston Road host Goodwick United while Narberth travel to Merlins Bridge.
