RIGHT sided full back and midfielder Luke Cummings has won Dafabet Welsh Premier League Player of the Month having assisted Carmarthen Town over then Christmas period by scoring three goals in their four matches with the Old Gold claiming two wins and two draws.
Cummings played in all four Dafabet WPL matches with Carmarthen initially losing 4-2 at home against MBi Llandudno and losing away 4-1 at Latham Park to Newtown. Carmarthen’s festive form picked up on Boxing Day and before the New Year against Port Talbot and Aberystwyth Town respectively.
In a 3-0 win at the GenQuip Stadium Luke scored a wonderful chip over Steve Cann in the Port Talbot goal. Three days later a brace from Cummings earned a win for the Old Gold as they came from behind to win away at Aberystwyth 2-1.
