CHAMPIONS Neyland got their indoor cricket season off to a fine start as they beat Haverfordwest by seven wickets.
Haverfordwest were bowled out for 34 with Ben Field the top scorer on 16.
Patrick Bellerby was the pick of the bowlers as he finished with figures of 3-7 from his two overs. Neyland were good in the field as well with Sean Hannan superbly running out Chris Phillips when he was on 4.
In reply Neyland were not troubled by the Haverfordwest bowling, but some superb run outs gave them some hope. Paul Murray was run out for 7 and more good fielding saw Andrew Miller run out for just 1.
However, Patrick Bellerby scored 10 and Paul and Sean Hannon both scored 7 to help their side over the line.
