Dave Vincent: At league winning side Caerau Ely

CARMARTHEN TOWN have completed the January signing of defender Dave Vincent from Port Talbot Town. Vincent is a tall and composed central defender who joined the Steelmen from Caerau Ely in July, following a trial with Newport County. Vincent won the Welsh League Title in 2014/15 season with the capital-city side. His chances were limited at the GenQuip Stadium this season and he left the club in November.

The centre-half has been allocated the number 4 shirt at Richmond Park and will challenge Chris Thomas, Dwaine Bailey and Jordan Knott for a place in the heart of Mark Aizlewood’s back four. Dave’s former manager at Caerau Ely Nana Baah said: “When I arrived as manager of Caerau, Dave was a disheartened young man after seeing the club relegated and concede over 100 goals. Having taught Dave in secondary school, I knew he was a winner. We talk about the future and share our dreams for the club. “I told him he would win the Welsh League with Caerau and would play in the Welsh Premier in time, although it all happened a few years before we expected.”
