Goodwick edge past St Clears

GOODWICK United maintained their 100% record with a 3-2 win over St Clears on Saturday (Sept 24).

Nathan Greene put Goodwick ahead with seven minutes gone and it looked as if the home side would hold on to that lead until the break.

The Saints had other ideas though as Will Evans scored on the stroke of half time to level the game.

Greene scored his and Goodwick’s second nine minutes into the second half off an assist from Rhys Dalling.

However, the Saints hit back just three minutes later as Morgan Evans scored.

With twenty minutes to go, Goodwick regained the lead as Greene completed his hat trick and they were able to hold on for the win.

On Saturday, October 1, Goodwick are in action in the first round of the Senior Cup as they host Herbrandston, kick off 1:45pm.

St Clears are in action in Division 1 as they travel to Pennar Robins, kick off 2:30pm.
