HAKIN UNITED and Merlins Bridge are both through to the fourth round of the West Wales Cup but Neyland are out after they lost on penalties following a 4-4 draw. 

Ashley Bevan scored a hat-trick for Hakin United as his side thrashed Gorseinon Athletic to book a fourth round tie with Goodwick United.

Marc Jones also scored for the Vikings when he got on the end of a cross in front of the keeper to head the ball home.

Nicky Woodrow also scored while an own goal secured their 7-4 victory in what was a thrilling game.

Merlins Bridge are also through after they thrashed Pontardulais Town 6-1 at the Racecourse.

Terry Mccoombe scored a brilliant hat-trick while other goals came from Matthew D’ivry, James Skudder and Steve McNabney.

The Bridge will now take on Seven Sisters in the fourth round of the cup which is scheduled for February 6.
