HAKIN United kept the pressure on league leaders Goodwick United as they beat Pennar Robins 6-0 on Saturday (Mar 26).
The Vikings were only 1-0 up at the break as Shane Walsh scored after being set up by Leon Luby.
Three minutes into the second half though Hakin were awarded a penalty which Justin Harding scored to double his side’s lead.
Seven minutes later another penalty was awarded to the Vikings and Harding converted again to make it 3-0.
Ryan Wilson made the points all but safe with twenty minutes to go and Ashley Bevan then got his name on the score sheet to make it 5-0 to the hosts.
Luby then completed the scoring with five minutes to go as Hakin sealed a comfortable win.
Hakin remain in second place, thirteen points behind Goodwick with four games in hand.
On Wednesday, March 30, Hakin take a break from league action as they face Neyland in the semi-final of the Senior Cup, kick off 7pm.
Pennar are in action on Tuesday, March 29, as they travel to Carew, kick off at 6pm.
On Saturday, April 2, Pennar travel to Hundleton while Hakin host Narberth.
