Harrison Allen second round preview

THE second round of the Harrison Allen gets underway this week and with holders Neyland no longer in the competition, teams will fancy their chances of progressing further.

They were knocked out by Lawrenny who travel to Burton on Wednesday evening.

Lawrenny go into the game on the back of defeats to Neyland and Carew though so they will be keen to get back to winning ways.

Burton had a comfortable win over Lamphey on Saturday and they currently sit third in Division 2.

On Tuesday, Carew begin their competition with a home game against in-form Saundersfoot. They have wins over Neyland and Cresselly in recent weeks and they will look for another win.

Carew are also in good form, sitting second in the top division, and having been beaten in the final last year, they will want to get back there once again.

Also on Tuesday, Pembroke Dock host Kilgetty while Herbrandston, who boast five wins from five league games in Division 2, travel to Llanrhian.

Llangwm take on St Ishmaels on Wednesday while Division 2 side Johnston host Division 1’s bottom side Haverfordwest.

On Thursday, Hundleton host Cresselly while Llechryd host Whitland.
