Llangwm earn second win of season

LLANGWM earned their second win of the season on Saturday (May 21) as they beat Narberth by six wickets.

Narberth won the toss and chose to bat and they scored 179-9 in their 45 overs.

Richie Adams top scored with 80 for the hosts while Kyle Quartermaine hit a four and two sixes in his quick score of 24 from 17 balls.

Ben Hughes finished not out on 14 with a four and a six as Llangwm were set 180 to win.

Noah Davies took three wickets for Llangwm while Joe Phillips finished with figures of 2-28. Steven Mills also took two wickets to finish witrh 2-30.

In reply, Will Beresford hit eight fours and a six in his score of 49 before he was bowled by Ben Hughes.

Noah Davoes added 28 before also being bowled by Hughes and Steven Mills added 17.

Steven Inward smashed four fours and five sixes as he finished not out on 60.

That saw Llangwm to victory inside the 41st over to earn 19 points.

On Saturday, May 28, Narberth host Carew while Llangwm travel to Saundersfoot.
