CRYMYCH’s Ioan Croft progressed to the quarter finals of the Commonwealth Games on Tuesday (Aug 2) as he beat Jean Jordy Vadamootoo of Mauritius.
The 20-year-old put in an excellent performance to seal a unanimous points decision.
Judges scored the first round in favour of the Welshman after he threw some excellent punches.
Vadamootoo looked to up the tempo at the start of the second round but Croft again edged the round.
Croft continued his excellent display in the final round to book his place in the quarter finals of the Welterweight division.
