Lawrenny blow Pembroke Dock away

LAWRENNY earned just their fourth win of the season on Saturday (Jul 30) as they beat Pembroke Dock by 127 runs.

Pembroke Dock won the toss and chose to field and they were able to restrict Lawrenny to 155-9 from their 45 overs.

Finlay Lewis top scored with 26 and Ryan Morton added 25. There was also a score of 18 from Jon Beff.

Jamie White bowled well for his figures of 3-36 while Rhys Daley claimed 2-17 and Neil Gregory also took two wickets.

The Dock struggled in their reply as only Adam Phillips made a notable contribution of 13 runs.

Jamie Lewis was the star of the show for Lawrenny as he picked up seven wickets for the loss of only 10 runs.

Rob Williams also took 2-12 as Lawrenny earned what could prove to be a crucial victory.

It moves them 18 points above second from bottom Haverfordwest with three games left to play.

Defeat for the Dock leaves them 22 points from safety.

On Saturday, August 6, Lawrenny travel to Saundersfoot while Pembroke Dock host leaders Cresselly.
