Neyland ease to win over Town

NEYLAND earned their seventh win of the season on Saturday (Jul 30) as they beat Haverfordwest by eight wickets.

Neyland won the toss and chose to field and they were able to bowl Town out for 102.

Ben Field scored 23 for Town and Dai Davies added 46 but that was as good as it got for the Division 1 strugglers.

Sean Hannon was in fine form as he took 4-15 as Neyland looked to secure their first win since the end of June.

Hannon then made it a fine all-round performance as he finished unbeaten on 59 to see Neyland to victory.

Scott John had earlier fallen for 25 as Kieran O’Connor picked up two wickets for Town.

The win keeps Neyland in fifth place and they now sit six points behind third placed Llangwm with three games left to play.

On Saturday, August 6, Neyland host Carew while Haverfordwest travel to Narberth.
