Narberth seal comfortable win over Saundersfoot

NARBERTH earned another win on Saturday (Aug 13) as they beat Saundersfoot by seven wickets.

Saundersfoot won the toss and chose to bat first and they scored 179-8 in their 45 overs.

Scott Helmich scored 46 and Tom Mansbridge added 37 before Sam Franklin finished unbeaten on 52.

Narberth’s Davy Johns took three wickets for Narberth and Ben Hughes finished with 3-33.

Richie Adams then scored 21 in Narberth’s reply and Lewis Hough made a good score of 71.

Neil Powling took 2-50 for Saundersfoot but it wasn’t enough to derail Narberth’s chase.

Jamie McCormack finished unbeaten on 25 and Kyle Quartermaine finished unbeaten on 62 as they saw Narberth to victory.

The win for Narberth keeps them third in the table and they still have a chance of finishing second. Saundersfoot are third from bottom but they are 20 points ahead of second bottom Haverfordwest.

On Saturday, August 20, Narberth face leaders Cresselly while Saundersfoot travel to St Ishmaels.
