Neyland begin season with win over Llanybydder

NEYLAND got their season off to an excellent start on Saturday (Sept 3) as they beat Llanybydder by 30 points to 13 at the Athletic Ground.

Llanybydder scored all their points in the first half with Rhys Rowlands scoring the try. Llyr Tobias kicked the conversion and then added two penalties.

Neyland responded with an unconverted try but they trailed 5-13 at the break.

The Pembrokeshire All Blacks upped their game in the second half and scored 25 unanswered points to secure victory.

Tries came from scrum half George Evans, two from George Williams and a fourth from Luke Griffiths-Dawes.

Outside half Ollie Rothero added two conversions and two penalties as Neyland completed an excellent victory.

On Saturday, September 10, Neyland are due to visit Llangwm while Llanybydder host Pembroke Dock Quins.
