Neyland’s run chase halted by rain

NEYLAND’s game with Carew was abandoned on Saturday (Jun 4) because of rain.

Carew had reached a total of 175-7 from 42 overs and Neyland could only reach 6-0 in their reply before rain prevented any further play.

Simon Wood made a good score of 88 for the hosts and Ceri Brace finished unbeaten on 25.

Andrew Miller claimed two wickets for Neyland for figures of 2-27 while Brad McDermott-Jenkins finished with 2-48.

The result means Carew take seven points while Neyland claimed six.

In the battle for top spot, Neyland remain in pole position but are now level on points with Cresselly while Carew sit eight points back in fourth.

On Saturday, June 11, Neyland travel to Cresselly while Carew travel to St Ishmaels.
