CARMARTHEN Harriers performed well at the 2016 Welsh Road Relay Championships, which were held at Parc Cwm Darran in Bargoed on Sunday (Apr 10).

On a beautiful sunny but breezy day, 32 athletes made the journey east to Bargoed, hoping to produce more good results for the club after their recent achievements at the Gwent League, and school competitions – despite not having the strongest teams available.

In total there were 13 medals won, and the club won 1 team event, and 2 third. It was another exciting battle between the top clubs in Wales. The course was flat, which was a lap around the perimeter of the Park path with an extension loop for some.

The best team results of the day came from the Under 13 and Under 15 Boys age groups, who all finished on the podium in the top three. Ben also won the fastest leg medal in the U15B. Daisy second.
