CARMARTHEN ATHLETIC HOCKEY CLUB hosted a tournament for their junior players on Saturday (Jan 15) and following a very successful ‘Actif Centre’ run at the beginning of the school year, the club gained an influx of new, young and enthusiastic hockey players.
Over 30 children took part in the tournament and it was a time for the junior players to show off what they had learned over the past 5 months. It was extremely encouraging to see so many parents came to watch and support their children also.
Children of various ages and abilities took part, ranging from years 6-9, boys and girls. It was great to see so many children wanting to take part and to develop their passion for staying healthy and especially their passion for hockey.
It was also very encouraging to see many boys taking part with Carmarthen Hockey Club aspiring to develop both a boys and men’s team in the near future.
The tournament was successfully run by a group of enthusiastic volunteers from Carmarthen Hockey Club who are always willing to help out in any way possible.
